Project Description: Completed in June 2014, the Le Squez, phase 2 Housing Development, undertaken on behalf of the Housing Department / Andium Homes, provides a total of 84No one, two and three bedroom houses and flats. Known now as Les Burons, Les Burons Court, Les Anquetils and Les Petit Anquetils, from the outset this social rented development aimed to provide a high density, pedestrian friendly and fully accessible environment. Paved surfaces and pedestrian only access, with private and communal gardens are an intrinsic feature of the development as is the design, scale and massing of the buildings which run from 1 to 4 storeys in height.

Highly Commended - Judges Citation: This project is comparable to Award winning UK social housing. Town Houses and small Apartment blocks give sense of individuality, creating better social environment by using smaller blocks interspersed with communal areas, with a good balance between private and public amenity space. Highly Commended as a good example of social housing on par with national [UK] standards

BEST LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE PROJECT IN RELATION TO THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT
Commended - Judges Citation: Better than normal standard of landscaping in social housing schemes, which has been incorporated into the overall design. The scheme creates pleasant communal spaces in a densely populated area, delivering both good private spaces and some public amenity space for residents
