Dyson and Buesnel (Chartered Architects) Limited are registered as a ‘data controller’ under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018, as we do collect and hold personal information about our clients. The information we hold is generally limited to that of a non-sensitive nature, i.e., names, addresses, contact details, email, etc., and this information is held on our in-house servers, on our cloud-based encrypted server, and on portable devices. This information is available to all staff members in the course of undertaking their work in respect of your proposed development.

In order to undertake our architectural commissions/services, it is also necessary to pass your contact information onto the States of Jersey when formally liaising with the Environment Department and other States Departments on your behalf and when we submit any formal applications on your behalf. We do not place your name or any personal identity on any drawings we prepare unless you specifically request us to do so.

We also pass your contact details onto various consultants, suppliers, and contractors at the relevant work stages as your project progresses through the various design and build stages, and this information is generally passed on to the selected companies with your verbal approval.

All of our accounting/invoice systems are held off-site in a secure and encrypted cloud-based system to which only the company directors and our accountants have access.

On occasions, it is necessary for us to require and hold sensitive business and/or personal information in order for us to undertake our architectural commissions, such as when dealing with designs and provisions specifically for children, elderly, or disabled persons. Should it be necessary to collect any type of sensitive information, we would discuss and agree on all matters relating to the need for this information, its storage, and distribution with you directly on an individual case-by-case basis.

We also promote our projects/designs through various social media, websites, advertisements, etc., and no personal details will be included in any of this promotional material relating to your project.
