Project : Le Squez, Phase 2c – Le Squez Housing Estate
Design Proposal :
This phase of the redevelopment proposals follows closely behind the completion of phases 2a & 2b and will provide a mixed tenure development of 10No One bedroom flats, 9No Two bedroom flats, 2No Three bedroom flats and 3No Three bedroom houses.
The design proposal is an extension / continuation of the earlier phases and maintains the Housing Departments aims and aspirations and development brief which required a sustainable and pedestrian friendly development. As with the earlier development the building heights range from 1 – 4 storeys in height and the established principles of the 30 degree split roofs, and the parapet walls have been continued as a strategic method of dealing with the building massing and transitions between different storey heights. Whilst a similar approach to the building finishes will ensure that this phase of the development provides a coherent development within the context of the development masterplan.
